HOW WE BEGAN

Gary Hudson decided he needed a challenge, he saw a need for quality tradesmen who still had the old school values. Having had extensive experience in the engineering industry working for some of the largest engineering companies in Australia and Overseas he thought why not take the plunge, quit his job and start his own business. At the time Gary was a trade teacher, teaching Boilermaking and Welding at SkillsTech Australia (so much for the retirement job) but decided he missed being on the tools and wanted to get his hands dirty again so why not go back to what he enjoyed the most.
Gary started Hudson Contracting in early 2009 and since then the business has grown from small domestic and the odd commercial job to major projects throughout Australia and Overseas.
As a tradesman Gary has always taken pride in his work and the finished product, he learnt from early on from old school craftsmen that ‘if the jobs not good enough for you, the jobs not good enough for the customer’. He has a hand in every facet of Hudson Contracting from project management, quoting, ordering, administration and accounting.
Gary has continued to improve his skills as a tradesman completing Advanced Welding Qualifications and numerous High Risk tickets and as a business owner, Business Management, Project Management and Supervisory qualifications.
The tradesmen that work for and along side Hudson Contracting are the best in their game and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
